Position Overview: As a Senior Engineering Manager at Sempen, you will lead and manage engineering projects focused on the production of green hydrogen, green ammonia, and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of sustainable energy projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership:Lead engineering efforts related to green hydrogen, green ammonia, and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production projects.Direct the design and development of engineering processes, parts, and systems to meet project objectives.Optimize designs for cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and performance, ensuring alignment with sustainability goals.Conduct engineering analyses and simulations to validate designs and optimize technical solutions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate engineering designs with overall project requirements.Provide technical guidance and expertise to internal teams and external engineering vendors.2. Project Planning and Execution:
Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets for sustainable fuel projects.Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.Monitor project progress and make adjustments to optimize engineering processes and outcomes.Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.3. Vendor Coordination:
Coordinate with external engineering vendors to ensure project requirements are met.Coordinate with project management team all the engineering and vendor relationships and contracts, including negotiating terms and deliverables.Oversee the work of external vendors to ensure quality, timeliness, and adherence to project specifications.4. Documentation and reporting:
Maintain accurate technical documentation, including engineering designs, specifications, and reports.Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and external partners.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.Extensive experience in leading engineering efforts for complex projects, preferably in the fertilizers or refining sectors.Strong project management skills with a focus on technical coordination and vendor management.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.In-depth technical knowledge of engineering principles, processes, and systems relevant to green hydrogen, green ammonia, and SAF production.Experience in coordinating external engineering vendors and managing vendor relationships.Proficiency in project management tools and software, as well as technical engineering software and tools.
