Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Data Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Argentina. Our client is a leading online training provider. The company offers 7,000+ regulated and non-regulated courses for career development and has 11+ million learners in 67 countries. The robust e-learning platform that supports multimedia content, quizzes, and assessments. Courses are accessible on various devices, including smartphones and tablets. There are regular updates to course content to reflect the latest industry standards and regulations.
It is a reliable and reputable company that provides various online training and certification programs across multiple industries, such as real estate, food and beverage, environmental health and safety, and more. Established in 1997 and headquartered in Austin, Texas, USA, they have earned accreditation from esteemed organizations and regulatory bodies like the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET), ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB), and the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC), among others. The project duration is at least 5-6 months, with a high probability of extension if all goes well.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Science or Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience writing SQL code: stored procedures, functions, queries, and query optimization by indexing.
- At least 2 years of experience using Azure Data Factories, Data Flows, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and calling REST APIs.
- At least 3 years of experience writing ETL in any other tool.
- Understanding of collecting and translating business requirements and converting them into logical/physical data models.
- Understanding of creating ETL involving heterogeneous data sources (IBM DB2, SQL Server, MySQL, Excel files, CSVs, Azure Blobs, XML, JSON, etc.).
Will be a plus:
- Experience designing and developing new reports, creating data-driven subscriptions, and maintaining and enhancing existing reports using SQL server reporting services.
- Knowledge of source control systems like Git and TFS.
- Knowledge of core Azure services related to data and analytics and deploying Azure components using PowerShell scripting and Azure ARM templates.
- Understanding of Agile development methodology and familiarity with tools such as Atlassian JIRA.
Responsibilities:
- Gather business requirements and create and document designs for Business Intelligence solutions.
- Develop new and support existing ETL processes utilizing Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, etc.
- Document mappings of data points, describing various sources and targets, error handling, logging, etc.
- Provide support to the organization's reporting requirements, and create ad hoc reports.
- Support business teams in utilizing the Data warehouse effectively by identifying gaps in data, working on enriching the Data warehouse, and enabling businesses to perform self-service functions.
- Assist with data migration for company acquisitions.
