As the Senior Content Editor, you will be responsible for :
- Participating in a $400,000+ annual marketing budget (including marketing employees/contractors/tech)
- Ensuring all copy has proper voice, context, balance and clarity and is in line with the editorial strategy.
- Lead editorial content flow and production, and manage team of freelancer writers to produce and edit 2-3 blogs per week, 1-2 emails per week, plus additional web content as needed.
- Ideate new blog ideas based on trends, news, etc.
- Edit and proofread blogs, emails and other written content for spelling, grammar and syntax, audience, content goals,
balance of readability and SEO content, convertibility, and brand voice/target demographic.
- Ensure that content meets the company or client's needs, and follows our in-house style guide.
- Organize, modify and update existing content, and track content for updating.
- Work with the graphic design team to ensure a user-friendly experience.
- Manage editorial publishing calendar to keep content moving according to deadlines.
- Participate with the SEO manager for the tracking, review and reporting of relevant KPIs, data and analytics to increase reader engagement, retention and conversion.
- Keeping records off all notes, interviews, and audio files.
- Creating trustworthy relationships with contacts and sources for use in future research.
- Keeping up to date with latest news developments and trends.
- Reworking content based on feedback from stakeholders.
- Using research to establish the strategy for connecting to the target audience.
Types of Content you will be assigning, writing, editing and/or proofing include:
- Luxury Real Estate Website Content
- Blogs and Quarterly Reports
- Direct marketing emails
- YouTube video descriptions
- Social Media Captions (as needed)
- YouTube video scripts (if applicable)
- Printed Marketing Materials & Brochures
Ideal Profile
- You have a Bachelor's degree in journalism, English, media or related field.
- You have demonstrated command of the English language. You have excellent writing skills in English in order to be able to cover our business requirements in English markets.
- At least 3 years of copy editing, writing, and proofreading experience.
- Successful remote work experience.
- You demonstrable content knowledge in the sectors of luxury/lifestyle, real estate, and/or Miami. You MUST have experience in at least one of these sectors to be considered.
- Knowledge of SEO and industry best practices.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Experience using desktop publishing software (CMS).
- Proficient in Google Suite and Social Media platforms.
- Experience writing and editing long-form scripts a strong plus.
- Spanish language proficiency also a plus.
- You are a good multitasker who can work within tight deadlines.
- You are adept at creating content that will effectively engage audiences.
- You have strong writing skills and a keen eye to ensure that the content is free from errors and complies with editorial style and guidelines.
- You have experience managing freelancers and deadlines
- You have experience managing and reporting on KPIs related to digital marketing content.
- You pay strong attention to detail and deliver work that is of a high standard
- You are a strong team player who can manage multiple stakeholders
- You are willing to undertake 0-30% travel.
