As a Cyber Security Analyst at JD, you will be responsible for monitoring and triaging alerts escalated from partners and wider internal teams.
You must have working experience of incident response and end-to-end security processes and procedures.
· Job Title – Security Analyst · Location – Bury, BL9 8RR · Working rota – Monday to Friday · Working hours – 40hrs per week What You'll Be Doing: Support day-to-day security operation withing the SOC.
Act as an escalation point for security incidents carrying out in depth analysis of these security incidents.
Provide support to SOC management during incident investigations.
Work as part of a team within the SOC and wider internal stakeholders at JD.
Understanding technology and processes within JD, to enable a more efficient incident response process.
Develop, follow, and maintain playbooks which provide operational incident response workflows.
Support the SOC management team in the development of key performance indicators to measure the success of the SOC team.
Maintain knowledge of cybersecurity best practises to identify potential enhancements to technologies and processes.
What We're Looking For: 2 years' experience in a Security Operations Centre or supporting an Incident Response Team.
Experience of Microsoft Security tools.
Experience of conducting and refining threat hunts.
Experience in developing use cases for alert analytics.
Network Management and Monitoring Tools and Utilities.
Ability to create new SIEM rules/ saved searches for detection of events of interest/ TTP's (not just IOC's).
Understanding of common Intrusion Analysis models to enact critical thinking (e.g., Cyber Kill Chain and MITRE Attack Lifecycle).
Experience in Enterprise Network Security/Security Perimeters.
Experience with TCP/IP protocol analysis.
Experience with cyber threat analysis and mitigations.
Ability to manage multiple simultaneous responsibilities.
Ability to analyse complex information and data.
Excellent problem-solving and conceptual thinking abilities, especially with technical troubleshooting.
Strong and effective process management skills.
