Section Lead, Local Parts Evaluation Center (LPEC)

Description Objective of job: It is essential to ensure all suppliers' parts release for the vehicle SOP (Start Of Production). LPEC (Local Parts Evaluation Center) is responsible for the coordination, documentation, and monitoring of sampling activities to get part release. Besides that, LPEC is performing the color, surface, and optical release for Interior, Exterior, and Glass components, leading color evaluation during interior color harmony workshop, and participating in China specific color development together with RD designer.
As section lead of LPEC, you are in charge of a team to conduct daily operation business. Your tasks are mainly following:
Lead and coordinate industrialization for SOP ramp upImplement the part release system and process in ChinaFixed assets managementPeople coaching and team developmentLead and coordinate industrialization for SOP ramp up Lead the LPEC team in setting up PPAP Sampling inspection processes and executing sampling coordination to achieve the part release targets for all commodities.Coordinate with global testing departments, including RD China and Germany, TF Hub and Web team, BBAC QM and PE, set up and maintain PPAP test matrix for all local purchased parts.Coordinate PPAP sample part logistics from BBAC to HQ for function and material testing.Set up color & surface and glass inspection processes and lead team in executing evaluation for interior, exterior, and glass components.Involve China specific color development with RD designer, lead evaluation in color harmony workshop with BBAC QM and RD China.Participate in supplier potential audit, give input of supplier's color & glass competency as factor for nomination. During supplier development and delivery phase, conduct quality issue analysis and quality improvement together with supplier quality engineer.Track and regularly report Deviation Yellow Part and Requalification status of MP China side in Shopfloor meeting and COC quality meeting, escalation of critical topics if needed.EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) management for daily LPEC workshop operation to follow the company policy.Implement the part release system and process in China Take Lead in the implementation of global sampling system PIA (Part Inspection and Approval) and its process for MP China.Communicate with HQ for PIA system bug fixing, system enhancement and process adaptation based on China regulation, Organization, and JV situation.Provide training to MP China quality teams, RD engineers and BBAC QM & PE regarding PPAP process, method, and system.Fixed Assets management As Assets Custodian, manage fixed assets of LPEC according to the process and finance reporting is compliant with company policy.Plan and make proper use of budget based on LPEC's equipment maintenance, calibration status and potential new testing scope.People coaching and team development Promote a can-do team spirit, encourage the team to think out of the box and try mistakes.Discuss with each team member and set up training & development plan based on individual status and long-term career target.Assist Supervisor with tasks including but not limited to recruitment, attendance & leave management and LEAD Goal Agreement, Appraisal, and Feedback process.Assist Supervisor on Section Team DES follow-ups and team building topics.Qualifications University degree education in Engineering, Business administration or related subjects.At least 5 years working experience in manufacturing or quality.Experience in quality standards and methods, esp. PPAP, VDA 6.3, ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949, etc.Leadership experience would be a plus.Come to the point, can explain topics in clear and structured way.Excellent communication skills, can present topics with self-confidence.Mature interpersonal skills.Excellent command in written and spoken English; German would be an advantage.Highly motivated and self–driven, approach topics with proactive initiative.
