Unicorn Hunters is a groundbreaking show that connects startups with global investors. Our mission is to discover the next generation of billion-dollar companies and provide them with the exposure and funding they need to succeed. We are currently seeking a Scouting Manager to join our team, focusing on identifying high-potential startups from Colombia, the US, and LATAM.
Role Overview:
The Scouting Manager will be responsible for sourcing and evaluating innovative startups across Colombia, the US, and LATAM. This role requires a deep understanding of the startup ecosystem in these regions, strong networking skills, and the ability to identify companies with the potential to become unicorns. The Scouting Manager will work closely with the Unicorn Hunters production team to ensure that the most promising startups are featured on the show.
Key Responsibilities: Startup Identification: Proactively identify and source high-potential startups in Colombia, the US, and LATAM that align with the show's investment criteria.Market Research: Conduct in-depth market research to understand trends, emerging industries, and investment opportunities in the target regions.Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with startup communities, accelerators, incubators, and investors across Colombia, the US, and LATAM.Evaluation: Assess the viability, scalability, and potential of startups through detailed analysis of their business models, market positions, and growth trajectories.Pitch Coordination: Work with startups to prepare them for their pitch on Unicorn Hunters, providing guidance and feedback to enhance their presentations.Collaboration: Collaborate with the production team to ensure a seamless process from scouting to screening and filming.Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on scouting activities, startup pipeline, and market insights.Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a startup, VC, or scouting role, with experience in Colombia, the US, or LATAM markets.Network: Established connections within the startup ecosystems of Colombia, the US, and LATAM.Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to assess the potential of startups.Communication: Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish; proficiency in Portuguese is a plus.Passion: A genuine passion for entrepreneurship and a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by startups in the target regions.Flexibility: Willingness to travel within the regions and work across different time zones.Fluency: Fluent in English and Spanish.
