ISM welcomes over 820 students aged 3 to 18 years old, drawn from over 60 nationalities.

Driven by its vision of international education with distinction, ISM's mission is to provide an outstanding education for students so that they are happy, confident, independent, multilingual and responsible global citizens. The school's values emphasise integrity, learning, caring and respect, with strong emphasis placed on excellence, wellbeing and multilingualism as well as international mindedness and digital citizenship.

In August 2020 the school signed a historic collaboration with King's College School, Wimbledon, as part of the school's aim to be among the best in Europe.

ISM offers a bilingual education in English and French for students in the Primary School (Kindergarten to Year 6). In the Secondary School (Year 7 to Year 13), the curriculum is taught in English, leading to internationally-recognised academic qualifications.

ISM is an all-through IB World Continuum School, delivering all four International Baccalaureate programmes: the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), IB Diploma Programme (DP) and IB Career-related Programme (CP).

Languages are an important part of the curriculum, with Spanish, Italian, Russian and German, in addition to French, on offer. Highly qualified teachers and support staff are recruited from around the world.

ISM provides an extensive programme of enrichment including sports, Model United Nations, an annual Arts Festival, the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award plus ABRSM and LAMDA music and drama qualifications.
