Mercedes-Benz of Austin is looking for an experienced Automotive Sales Manager to join our team! This individual will be responsible for supervising and motivating salespeople, as well as promoting and encouraging strategies to sell vehicles.
Job duties include but are not limited to: Interact daily with Customers and Mercedes-Benz personnel including, but not limited to Sales Associates, Sales Managers, Finance Managers, and support staff. Drive the business through a high-level of involvement in the day to day operations. Manage the negotiation process with the Sales Associates while ensuring that the customers understand their vehicle purchase options and pricing. Appraise vehicles for trade. Analyze and monitor sales figures, forecasts, and performance metrics. Foster a positive and motivating work environment that promotes teamwork and individual growth. Manage and monitor all three areas of consumer traffic including the showroom, E-commerce, and the phones. Partner with the General Manager and/or General Sales Manager to manage performance KPI's. Target associate retention. Target Customer Satisfaction Index. Monitor showroom traffic and oversee sales personnel to enhance the customer service experience/satisfaction ratings of the dealership. Be proficient in CRM software including all CRM functions and desking tools. Make daily follow-up calls for all unsold clients who visit our showroom or contact via phone/internet. Confirm sales appointments daily. Coach sales team through each step of the sales process and assist with closing deals. Ensure proper follow up of all potential buyers. Establish and enforce product-knowledge standards. Handle customer complaints immediately and in accordance to dealership guidelines. Requirements: Automotive Sales Manager experience required, Mercedes-Benz or a high line dealership experience preferred. Must have held a valid driver's license for at least 1 year. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Strong computer and phone skills. Maintain a professional appearance. Great time management. Strong attention to detail. Schedule: This is a full-time position. Monday-Saturday 8:30 am to 7:00 pm. Sundays off and one weekday off. Compensation: Based on commission. CAG is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
