About the team Dialpad's Sales Engineers will contribute to our SMB Sales team by building technical relationships with prospects, delivering compelling product demonstrations, and running high touch proof of concepts. In this role, our Sales Engineer will help businesses solve complex communications problems felt by everyone around the world. Dialpad's SE team plays an essential role in providing pre-sales technical support for all Dialpad products and services. This team aligns closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, Customer Success and Support, as well as, all levels of management on customer accounts. Your role As aSales Engineer you'll own running demos and proof of concepts, including the gathering of success criteria, system configuration, admin training, user training and troubleshooting. You'll work closely with Account Executives to identify key customer requirements and present Dialpad solutions that meet those requirements. You'll possess an in-depth knowledge of Dialpad's products and services, relating this knowledge in a way that is understandable to non-technical customers. This position reports to our Sales Engineering Manager for Small Business with preferred working hours set as US core hours 8am - 5pm Central Time Zone. What you'll do Perform 2-3 product demonstrations per day in English and SpanishDeliver high touch proof of conceptsLearn the many technical tools the Sales Engineering team uses to test network environmentsComplete a Sales Engineering Demo CertificationPartner with the SMB Sales team throughout the entire sales processSkills you'll bring 1-2 years customer-facing experience working as either as Solution Architect, Sales Engineer, Implementation Engineer, Solutions Consultant or similar rolesA technical curiosity and an excitement about delivering a technology solution that makes work better.Dabbles in scripting languages such as Javascript and Python.Preferred Technical Skills: Excellent grasp of various modern cloud communications platforms such as Google Workspace and Microsoft 365Experience with Business VoIP Telephony Services (On-Premise or SaaS)Experience with Contact Center solutions (On-Premise or SaaS)Understanding and experience with the following VoIP CODECs and technologies (G.711, G.729, G.722, OPUS, H.264, VP8, VP9, WebRTC, H.323, SIP, Network Analyzers)Comprehension of and experience with:Network Infrastructure (Firewalls, Routers, Switches & Wireless); WAN Technologies (MPLS, VPLS & SD-WAN)Data Center Technologies (Public & Private Clouds)Software components involved in enterprise service delivery (web servers, application servers, databases, web services, mainframes, network attached storage and other related technologies)Dialpad benefits and perks Equity, balance, and belonging At Dialpad, we strive to ensure that Dialers are free to bring their full selves to work each day, and champion the intersectionality that exists between gender identity, ethnicity, age, disability status, and the many other aspects of our greater humanity.
