Safety & Industrial Hygiene SupervisorWhat you will do: The Safety & Industrial Hygiene Supervisor is responsible for managing a team of Safety & IH professionals to support a site or region for implementation of the Workplace Safety System processes. The Safety & Industrial Hygiene Supervisor is responsible for analyzing and identifying strategies for a site or region that align with company strategies. The Safety Supervisor will have the ability to collaborate cross-functionally across all levels of a site or region to lead and engage resources. This position often requires a high level of communication skill to influence others within the organization to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches, where influences do not align. The ability to identify when something is likely to go wrong and reacting accordingly to bring up or engage the right resource to initiate problem solving is critical. Main Responsibilities: Lead a team of Safety professionals to support a site and/or region in the implementation of Safety & IH processes. Ensure implementation and adherence to corporate standards.Develop valuable strategic direction that drives successful execution of Global Workplace Safety Strategy Deployment at the site/country/regional level.Project Leadership: Lead and oversee projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams. Drive initiatives to enhance practices and mitigate risks across various projects.Foster a culture of safety and technical excellence within the team: Responsible for driving successful execution of the annual GWS action plans at the sites, providing site GWS Resources with clear direction, education, and tools to be effective roadblock busters for their respective functions, requiring local/regional regulatory requirements and GM requirements are understood, implemented, and assessed at all led sites.Partner with their peers to share and demonstrate good practices across their sites, supports the site operations leadership, developing and educating direct reports, and other key GWS functions at the sites.Relationship with Union Representatives: Hold meetings with union representatives to collaborate on problem-solving and strengthen effective communication between management and employees.Resolution of Citations or Safety Violations: Provide assistance or guidance in resolving government citations or safety violations, ensuring compliance with local and regional regulatory requirements as well as company requirements.Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree related to the position (desirable in Industrial Safety and Hygiene, or Engineering with a Post-Graduation in Safety & Industrial Hygiene).Collaborative Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Experience working in a matrix organizational structure.+5 years of Previous experience in similar positions.Regulatory Knowledge.Microsoft Office: intermediate level.English: basic level.Availability to work in Alvear, Santa Fé, Argentina in an ONSITE regime (Monday to Friday).Preferred qualifications: Proven experience in leading teams in multinational organizations.Knowledge of Portuguese.Knowledge of Data Tools/PowerBI.
