Make It Possible Job Purpose: The S&OE Lead is responsible for managing and executing the short-term (weekly to monthly) planning processes, ensuring a seamless flow of operations across sales, demand, supply, and production teams. They bridge the gap between Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and day-to-day operational execution, focusing on delivering on tactical goals while responding to real-time demand and supply changes.
Key Responsibilities: Operational Planning and Execution:
Lead the S&OE process to ensure alignment between demand, supply, and inventory levels.Monitor and review short-term demand forecasts and supply plans.Ensure the execution of the tactical plan, adjusting production, supply, and distribution schedules as needed.Demand and Supply Balancing:
Work closely with demand planners, supply chain managers, and production teams to balance customer demand and operational capacity.Adjust and recalibrate plans based on real-time data, ensuring minimal disruptions to operations.Risk Management:
Identify, assess, and mitigate short-term operational risks in demand or supply.Proactively address supply chain issues such as stockouts, overstock situations, or capacity bottlenecks.Performance Monitoring:
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as service levels, inventory turnover, and production efficiency.Implement corrective actions to improve operational performance and minimize gaps between plans and actual performance.Cross-functional Collaboration:
Act as the liaison between sales, production, logistics, and procurement to ensure cohesive execution.Communicate changes in demand or supply conditions across all functions to maintain alignment.Continuous Improvement:
Lead initiatives to improve S&OE processes, enhancing responsiveness and operational agility.Drive process improvements to enhance the accuracy of short-term planning and minimize inefficiencies.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): On-time delivery and service levelsInventory accuracy and stock availabilityProduction schedule adherenceDemand-supply balancing effectivenessIncident and risk resolution speedSkills and Qualifications Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field.MBA or relevant certification (e.g., APICS, CPIM) is a plus.Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain, operations, or planning roles.Previous experience with IBP and S&OE processes.Proven ability to manage complex operational processes in a dynamic environment.Technical Skills:
Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or other data analysis tools.Soft Skills:
