Description WHAT YOU WILL DO The Product Owner (PO) is the Agile team member primarily responsible for maximizing the value delivered by the team by ensuring that the team backlog is aligned with customer and stakeholder needs. As a member of the extended Product Management function, the PO is the team's primary customer advocate and primary link to business and technology strategy. This enables the team to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders while continuously evolving the Solution.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Contribute to the Vision and Roadmap by understanding the market forces Represent the end user Assist with Agile Release Train (ART) Backlog prioritization Educate the ART during PI Planning Connect with the Customer Know the customer and stakeholders Identify the problem to be solved Develop whole-product solutions Manage and Prioritize the Team Backlog Guide Story creation Prioritize backlog items Accept Stories Support Architectural Runway Support the Team in Delivering Value Balance stakeholder perspectives Elaborate Stories Foster Built-In Quality Participate in team and ART events Get and Apply Feedback Test benefit hypotheses Obtain feedback from customers and stakeholders Share feedback with the ART Evolve solution design The PO is ultimately responsible for maximizing the value delivered by the Agile team, which requires the PO to ensure that the right solutions are built and that they are built the right way. However, the PO cannot accomplish this alone. The PO provides a crucial link in the bi-directional information flow between Product Management (PM) and the Agile team. The PO keeps the Agile team informed of the strategy that drives product design and keeps Product Management informed of the innovations that influence the evolution of product strategy. Customer feedback aligns thinking from strategy through execution and is accessible to all roles. To support this, you need to double as a PM in addition to the PO role.
QUALIFICATIONS Engineering graduate with 7+ years of work experience as Product Owner / Product Manager.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English.
Added advantage: Mercedes-Benz certifications (Diagnostics engineer / technician, Maintenance engineer), Exposure to Product management tools, German language proficiency, Vehicle network & control units.
