How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?The Supervisor Fixed Assets (FA) is responsible for managing and overseeing the operations of the Airgas Fixed Assets team for the following key activities:
Recon & JE Process (GL Acct, Bulk Tank, Vehicle, Cylinder/Dewar, Vending Machines, Computers, LOU/scrap, cylinder reserve, depreciation accruals, capitalized int.
)SAP Maintenance (depreciable lives, carryover balances, ITC testing, Winshuttle templates & testing)This Fixed Asset team employs approx 11 people.
The Fixed Asset Supervisor must work effectively with management and associates across the Airgas organization, including finance and accounting teams within the Company's BUs, BSCs, and Corporate.
The Fixed Asset Supervisor will closely interact with various teams on Company-wide process improvement initiatives, helping to develop solutions, leading cross-functional process teams with an overall focus on improving efficiency and effectiveness, internal controls and customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for meeting deliverables for the Fixed Asset team activities.
Must have working knowledge of team processes, related controls and staff assignments.Work with the team in managing the daily operations (run work and project work).
Key responsibilities include:reconciliation & JE processSAP maintenancecalculation of monthly depreciation and amortizationcarryover balancesinternal and external audit requirements; personal property tax and other related requirementsserving as subject matter expert for fixed asset policies and procedures, including configuration and operation of SAP fixed asset systemsEnsure alignment with Air Liquide Blue Book Standards as well as IFRSPromote a business process excellence culture through working effectively with process/functional leaders to identify and develop business process improvement opportunities on an on-going basisEstablish process metrics and measuresParticipate and/or lead initiatives in support of the Airgas finance strategic planCore focus on staff development through goal-setting, performance evaluations, feedback, and on-going performance coaching to ensure activities are performed within department and Company policyAre you a MATCH?Required Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or business related fieldKnowledge, Skills & Abilities: + 7 years of progressive professional experience in accounting and business process improvement, including demonstrated management experienceHigh Level English Proficiency.
Daily interaction with English native speakersSolid leadership skills with excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work successfully in a team atmosphere and adjust communication requirements based on specific situationsAbility to research and interpret Air Liquide BlueBook Policies and Procedures and IFRS standards and apply them to day to day operationsStrong ability to partner across a complex, decentralized organization and influence outcomes at all levelsSystematic problem solver focused on implementing solutions to solve root cause problemsComfortable with out-of-the-box thinking and challenging status quo.
