How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?The Manager for Fixed Assets (FA) is responsible for managing and overseeing the operations of the Airgas Fixed Assets team for the following key activities:
CAR SharePoint Mgmt, Policy & CAR Log;
SAP Process (Budget Mgmt & Project Creation);
Standard Run Work (Capitalization of Assets, Transfers & Retirements, Completion of FA Physicals, Annual ARO review)
This Fixed Asset team employs 15-20 people.
The Fixed Asset Manager must work effectively with management and associates across the Airgas organization, including finance and accounting teams within the Company's BUs, BSCs, and Corporate.
The Fixed Asset Manager will closely interact with various teams on Company-wide process improvement initiatives, helping to develop solutions, leading cross-functional process teams with an overall focus on improving efficiency and effectiveness, internal controls and customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for meeting deliverables for the Fixed Asset team activities.
Must have working knowledge of team processes, related controls, and staff assignments.
Work with the team in managing the daily operations (run work and project work).
Key responsibilities include:
Asset/intangible additions, retirements, and transfers;
Preparation of PPE cost and accumulated depreciation rollforwards and other schedules; coordination of conversions to SAP;
Internal and external audit requirements; personal property tax and other related requirements;
Serving as subject matter expert for fixed asset policies and procedures, including configuration and operation of SAP fixed asset systems.
Preparation of the fixed asset monthly narrative.
Ensure alignment with Air Liquide Blue Book Standards as well as IFRS.
Promote a business process excellence culture through working effectively with process/functional leaders to identify and develop business process improvement opportunities on an ongoing basis.
Establish process metrics and measures.
Participate and/or lead initiatives in support of the Airgas finance strategic plan.
Core focus on staff development through goal-setting, performance evaluations, feedback, and ongoing performance coaching to ensure activities are performed within department and Company policy.
Are you a MATCH?Required Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or business related field.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 10 years of progressive professional experience in accounting and business process improvement, including demonstrated management experience.
High Level English Proficiency.
Daily interaction with English native speakers.
Solid leadership skills with excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work successfully in a team atmosphere and adjust communication requirements based on specific situations.
Ability to research and interpret Air Liquide BlueBook Policies and Procedures and IFRS standards and apply them to day-to-day operations.
Strong ability to partner across a complex, decentralized organization and influence outcomes at all levels.
Systematic problem solver focused on implementing solutions to solve root cause problems.
Comfortable with out-of-the-box thinking and challenging status quo.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Demonstrate agility and flexibility in navigating BUs, Divisions, and Corporate.

Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills with the ability to make independent decisions based on investigation and judgment as well as ability to discern when to escalate issues.
Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Google suite of products and Microsoft Office Excel as well as a demonstrated ability to utilize financial applications within SAP and dashboarding using Power BI.
Ability to analyze and disseminate large amounts of data.

Effectively present information, provide training, and respond to questions from groups in a business setting.
Effectively coach and mentor in a one-to-one environment, in-person and remotely.
