Hvordan vil du BIDRAGE og VOKSE?The Fixed Assets (FA) Analyst will manage the SAP Investment Management/Project Systems (IM/PS) functionality for the company, complete journal entries, account reconciliations, and various financial analyses necessary for the completion of the financial statements.
The role will involve working with Division Company finance and operations personnel to assist in the procurement process for capital assets, including the review of capex vs. opex for Capital Asset Requests ("CARs"), assist with the control and oversight of the internal order process for tracking capital investments, and provide monthly and quarterly reporting of capital project spend comparing actual-to-budget as well as other information.
This role will work closely with other members of the Division Accounting department, Division FP&A, and the other BSC teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure compliance with the Company's financial policies/procedures.Monitor & manage the overall CAPEX workflow process to ensure CARs are approved and processed timely.First pass review of all CAR's submitted to the site, includes but not limited to:Verify all required data is included, e.g.
vendor quotes, etc.OPEX vs. CAPEX recommendation (including corresponding policy).Review & preparation of any associated asset retirements.Month-end procedures and reporting requirements related to fixed assets and capitalized costs, including the generation of reports and the preparation and posting of journal entries.Ensure timely capitalization of completed projects & ensure assets are depreciated properly.Contribute to the preparation of asset impairment analysis upon occurrence of triggering events.Preparation of journal entries and required analysis for Asset Retirement Obligations.CIP account analysis, research and preparation of account reconciliations.Work closely with Production/Product Management to understand Plant/Customer business developments and related accounting impact to financial statements.Work closely with other Division/groups on gathering data related to shared capital expenditures and timely asset capitalization and transfer for assets.Preparation of reports and other information related to internal requests from the Division/branches as well as Corporate.Monthly financial statement review and variance analysis for various P&L and BS accounts.Ensure all fixed asset interfaces and other areas are processed/prepared timely and accurately.Reconciliation of fixed asset subsidiary ledger to the business unit general ledgers.Monthly preparation of fixed asset roll-forward information and related reconciliations.Assist with report and system testing (ITC testing).Escalates non-routine issues to the Team Lead / Supervisor.Identifies opportunities to enhance/streamline business processes.Interaction with external and internal auditors.Assist with executing special projects.Er du et MATCH?QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
