Automation Strategy and Architecture Lead

The Automation Strategy and Architecture Lead is responsible for developing and driving the enterprise-wide automation strategy aligned with business goals.

This role will evaluate and select the appropriate automation tools, define best practices, ensure seamless integration, and establish metrics for monitoring and continuous improvement of automation initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities


Automation Strategy Development

- Collaborate with business stakeholders and the COE leadership to define the automation vision and roadmap for the enterprise.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and prioritize initiatives based on business impact and feasibility.
- Develop and maintain the overall automation strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices.

Automation Architecture and Tool Evaluation

- Evaluate and recommend automation tools and platforms (e.g., RPA, intelligent automation, low-code / no-code) based on organizational needs and technical requirements.
- Design and document the target automation architecture, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and scalability for future growth.
- Establish standards, guidelines, and best practices for automation development,
deployment, and maintenance.

Automation Governance and Compliance

- Define and implement governance frameworks, policies, and procedures for automation initiatives across the enterprise.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and security protocols.
- Collaborate with IT, security, and compliance teams to address potential risks and mitigate issues related to automation.

Automation Metrics and Continuous Improvement

- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success and impact of automation initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze automation performance data, identifying areas for optimization and process improvements.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts by implementing best practices, automating additional processes, and leveraging emerging technologies.


Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in enterprise architecture, automation strategy, or related roles.
- Proven expertise in automation technologies such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Intelligent Automation, and low-code / no-code platforms.
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, system integration, and software development methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving large-scale automation initiatives.
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements related to automation.


This role will work closely with the COE leader, business stakeholders, and technical teams to drive the adoption of automation across the enterprise, ensuring alignment with business objectives and leveraging best-in-class automation solutions.
