Analyze and investigate consumer/commercial retail and lease credit applications for passenger cars/vans. Make decisions to mitigate MBFS credit risk while supporting and maximizing service levels for our dealer partners. Build relationships with the dealers as well as with the Dealer Relations Managers (DRMs) to maximize working relationships and increase MBFS retail and lease penetration.
Responsibilities:
Analyze, decision and investigate retail and lease credit applications, and communicate those decisions to the dealer via the ACE system and telephone in a timely manner. When necessary, negotiate conditional approvals with dealers. Execute buying strategies for dealer body as directed by management. (60%)Build positive dealer relations to increase market penetration while providing professional, courteous, consultative and timely customer service. Support and assist Dealer Relations Managers by becoming the inside sales force and by helping sell the benefits of MBFS retail programs. (20%)Participate in ongoing development responsibilities such as training, coaching, and team meetings to improve underwriting skills. Work on various assignments and/or reporting responsibilities to support information sharing for the continuous improvement of the Retail Credit team. (10%)Support eContracting and eDiscounting by working directly with the dealer and Case360 to correct mismatch errors between the contract and the MBFS credit system. Liaison between the dealer and the funding department. (10%)Qualifications:
