Restrain System Engineer

Description
Main Tasks Develop and localize restraint components for MB China local produced vehicles and ensure all project milestones are reached.Represent the restraint component development in the overall vehicle project and work with surrounding functional teams (e.g. RD, Quality, Purchasing, …).Responsible person for methodology of system engineering and sled testing by developing standards and support team members in their analysis & testing.Leading/Support cross functional working groups for implementing new features or solving issues.Engaging in the team tasks for vehicle safety relevant topics, crash safety, rating, etc.Qualifications Education: University degree in mechanical/automotive engineering.Experience: More than 5 years' working experience in restraint system components and system development.Profound experience in restraint system analysis, sled testing, and occupant simulation.Experienced in dealing with complex situations as well as issue solving.Experienced in supplier management.Experienced and confident in conflict management and balancing different stakeholder interests.Specific Knowledge: Professional knowledge of restraint system development and occupant safety.Good knowledge on Occupant Simulation (Pre- and Post-processing).Good knowledge of passive safety development on vehicle- and sub-system level.Strong communication skills with cross-functional teams, joint venture partners, and global RD departments.Teamwork spirit, strong intercultural competence, and communication skills with various hierarchy levels.Self-responsible working attitude and strong initiative, structured working styles.Strategic thinking mindset and strategic planning skills.Fluent English and Chinese skills; German language skill is a plus.
