As a Regional Procurement Officer at Nijhuis Saur Industries Central Europe (NSI CE), you will be responsible for managing procurement activities across your assigned region, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services.
You will play a key role in supplier negotiations, managing relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
In this leadership role, you will also collaborate with global teams to align regional procurement strategies with NSI's broader objectives, while driving improvements in supplier performance and optimizing costs.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Sourcing Procurement: Develop and execute procurement strategies for your region, ensuring alignment with global objectives and local project needs.
Identify and manage key purchasing categories, optimizing procurement practices to support cost-effective sourcing.
Evaluate potential suppliers within the region, negotiate favorable terms, and establish strong, long-term partnerships.
Monitor market trends and technological advancements to ensure that procurement activities stay competitive and innovative.
Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating terms and conditions to ensure reliable supply chains.
Manage and evaluate supplier performance, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and ethical standards.
Implement and monitor KPIs to measure supplier performance, and work on continuous improvement initiatives with global suppliers.
Inventory and Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure smooth operation of the supply chain and timely delivery of materials.
Optimize inventory levels to reduce carrying costs and minimize disruptions, while ensuring the availability of critical materials.
Implement processes and technology solutions to enhance the efficiency of procurement and supply chain operations.
Cost Management: Identify cost-saving opportunities, including vendor consolidation, bulk purchasing, and strategic sourcing.
Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, terms, and conditions.
Ensure that procurement activities adhere to regional budgetary controls and reporting standards.
Compliance Ethics: Ensure all procurement practices comply with NSI's legal, ethical, and environmental standards.
Conduct audits to ensure suppliers meet the company's compliance requirements, including quality and safety regulations.
Collaboration Team Leadership: Work closely with project teams, logistics, and other regional procurement officers to align strategies and share best practices.
Support the development and performance tracking of procurement teams within your region, ensuring adherence to company policies and goals.

Essential Skills and Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the environmental protection or industrial sectors.
Strong experience in supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and cost optimization.
Proficiency in procurement management systems or enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English.
