How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?The Sr Accounting Analyst will support the business objectives based on the Controller organization's scope of responsibility. The major areas of responsibility will include: financial accounting and reporting, including month-end close processes; general ledger account analyses; preparation and posting of journal entries; research, analyses and reporting; internal reporting requests; fulfilling requests related to internal/external audit and other ad hoc analyses and special projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE: Month-end procedures, including the preparation and posting of journal entries including:General Accounting / accrualsPayroll transactions/accrualsP-Card and Travel Card transactions/accrualsPerform tasks ensuring accurate financial and statistical close processes including general ledger account reconciliations and other analyses within established timelines. Direct responsibility will include:Balance sheet reconciliationsAd-hoc entries arising from the month end close review processDue to Airgas reconciliationsFixed Assets (non rental, non pooled): additions, disposals, depreciation, reconcile gain/lossCapable of completing a complete close for a small business unitPreparation of reports and other information related to internal requests from the division/branches as well as Corporate.Ensures compliance with the Company's financial policies/procedures and other matters related to compliance.Other duties as assignedAre you a MATCH?MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each job duty satisfactorily. Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.CPA designation preferred or in-progressRequired Length & Type of Experience:
4+ years progressive accounting experienceAdvanced computer skills (Google Suite, Microsoft Excel), experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or ERP systems.Rental industry experience is an asset.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
