How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? The Accounting Analyst will support the business objectives based on the Controller organization's scope of responsibility. The major areas of responsibility will include: financial accounting and reporting, including month-end close processes; general ledger account analyses; preparation and posting of journal entries; research, analyses and reporting; internal reporting requests; fulfilling requests related to internal/external audit and other ad hoc analyses and special projects.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE: Month-end procedures, including the preparation and posting of journal entries including:
General Accounting / Accruals
Perform tasks ensuring accurate financial and statistical close processes, in conjunction with ALABS, including general ledger account reconciliations and other analyses within established timelines. Direct responsibility will include:
Balance sheet reconciliations
Ad-hoc entries arising from the month end close review process
Daily Banking and review review of all accounts, enters wires, void cheques, reconciliation of utility direct debits
Bank reconciliations
Preparation of reports and other information related to internal requests from the division/branches as well as Corporate.
Ensures compliance with the Company's financial policies/procedures and other matters related to compliance.
Other duties as assigned

Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
Required Length & Type of Experience:
4+ years prior accounting/finance industry experience preferred.
Intermediate computer skills (Google Suite, Microsoft Excel), experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or ERP systems.
Rental industry experience is an asset.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Demonstrate a solid understanding of general accounting matters and IFRS/GAAP.
Strong "client service" mindset and work well with internal customers as well as external parties.
Capable of prioritizing responsibilities on a daily basis to meet required deadlines.
Exhibits customer focused behavior such as building positive relationships and strives to understand customer's needs, both internal and external.
Ability to deal with difficult situations in a diplomatic and professional manner.
