Essential Job Functions may include: Machine feeding, set ups, operation of automated and robotic welding machinesMonitor and set up machinery for optimal performanceSanding, grinding and deburring of metalsWork with hand, power, and pneumatic toolsPerform quality and visual inspection of final weldsAssemble and fabricate metal structure according to work specificationsRead and interpret diagrams and blueprints of the processEfficiently and safely load machines with required parts and identify any issues that ariseParticipate in the Continuous Improvement ProgramMust successfully pass assessment testingPrefer knowledge of welding, gluing, metal finish, ultrasonic weld inspection, weld destruct, hydraulic, pneumatic, metal processing or data processingTechnical lead of the team: Communicate, improve and monitor standardsTest and adaption of the timelines of the SABs/ASBsCoordination of the absence planning (vacation, free shifts, …)Execution of one point lessons (in coordination with E5)Organize and execute shift organization (according to local regulations)Supervision and adaption of SOS and marking/inscriptionEstablish rotation plan (in coordination with the team) and guarantee the adherenceGuarantee and execute Q-Check (at product)Maintain board with indicators/process folderFollow measurements, escalation via E5 if necessaryFollow the adherence of the team targetsInitiate and regulate problem solving process, error response to causerDevelop and update qualification matrix (in coordination with the team)Rework in the close environmentAccomplishment of corrective action process (analysis and allocation of errors, remedial action, testing of the efficacy)Check of employees according to the adherence of standardsQualifications: Completed MBV Team Leader Training ProgramKnowledge of Body Shop operationsHigh school Diploma or GED RequiredRequired 4+ years relevant experience; OR relevant certificate + 3 years relevant experience; OR relevant associates degree + 1 year relevant experiencePreferred: 5+ years relevant experience; OR relevant certificate + 4 years relevant experience; OR relevant associates degree + 2 years relevant experience.Mercedes Benz Vans can hand you the keys for an exciting career in the automotive manufacturing industry.
