Python/Django Developer

Hi there! We are Jules and our client is looking for a Python/Django Developer!

Client is an SEO SaaS company providing keyword research, rank tracking, and other SEO tools to bloggers, agencies, and others.

Responsibilities

1. Modernize and rewrite a complex PHP application acquired by Client using Python/Django framework.
2. Develop new features and functionalities for the application.
3. Containerize the application using Docker for efficient deployment and scalability.
4. Collaborate with the existing development team (1 full-time, 1 contractor) to ensure seamless integration.
5. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
6. Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure code quality.

Requirements

1.
3-5 years of experience in Python development with strong proficiency in Django framework.
2. Solid understanding of Docker containerization concepts and deployment strategies.
3. Experience working with Linux operating systems.
4. Experience with PHP / Laminas (we have a legacy application we are incrementally rewriting).
5. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
6. Experience with MySQL / PostgreSQL.
7. Experience with observability and unit/integration testing.
8. Ability to work independently and manage projects with minimal supervision.
9. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (accent acceptable if understandable).
10. Nice to have: experience with web scraping/data mining.
11. Less important: front-end skills like HTML/JavaScript/jQuery/React.
