About the position We are currently looking for a development engineer with customer orientation in telematics system integration to lead the validation and release of Mercedes me connected services and MBUX infotainment systems in Mercedes-Benz vehicles in the South Korean market. We are interested in connected services and telematics experts with professional experience in connected services, infotainment features, automotive ECUs and vehicle testing.
To ensure the highest level of maturity for our products, the applicants for this position need to master the following tasks:
Coordinate all activities related to Mercedes me connected services for the Korean market with a focus on validation.Align with different stakeholders (function owners, HQ, product management, ...).Manage external testing partners and maintain highest performance and quality.Coordinate test activities and test drives.Define test scope according to market needs and project maturity level.Evaluate the maturity of telematics release for the release recommendation.Prepare test vehicles with updates of components and app environment.Perform systematic static and dynamic tests during telematics test drives.Pre-analyze, document and share technical issues from test drives to HQ.Reproduce and verify fixed issues in test drives with the quality assurance team.Develop our products by sharing market feedback and improvement ideas.Qualifications Education Academic degree in automotive engineering, computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering or a relevant discipline (GPA above average, master's degree preferred).Professional skills Min. 2-3 years of experience in validation of connected services / telematics systems and/or technical quality assurance.Experience in updating and configuring telematics ECUs in the vehicle and mobile / backend apps.Experience in using standard development tools for debugging, tracing and accessing ECUs and apps.Experience in testing connected services, infotainment features (e.g. Navigation, Media, Apps, etc.).Very good understanding of current vehicle networking architectures (CAN, FlexRay, Ethernet, WIFI, BT, Backend, etc.).Very good organization and cooperation in dynamic, interdisciplinary and international project teams.Personal skills Ability to lead project teams.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.High level of self-initiative and proactive attitude.Ability to multi-task, prioritize and systematically analyze issues.Team player capabilities with very good networking abilities.Well-developed communication competence in a multi-cultural work environment.Very good language proficiency in Business English, fluent in written and spoken (German also beneficial).Safe and advanced driving skills with South Korean driver license for passenger cars.Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
