Job Overview: Manages and supports engineering projects from start to finish.
Develops project objectives and reviews project proposals.
Monitors project budget and timeline.
Responsibilities: Designs, communicates, and implements a project plan. Monitors project progress and performance against project plan. Analyzes drawings and communicates discrepancies to vendors for corrections. Prepares engineering designs and work specifications. Conducts project meetings and prepares status reports.
Collects, analyzes, and summarizes information and trends. Resolves difficult operational problems and minimizes delays. Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors. May provide guidance to less experienced project engineers. Participates in regularly scheduled team meetings. Will perform other duties as assigned. May train others in Lean Production Systems. Solves complex national and international problems using root cause analysis. Supports manufacturing engineering assignments as needed. Receives input from project teams and working groups.
Reports to the project teams and project committees. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related area. 3 years of relevant experience. Knowledge & Skills: High skill and knowledge of lean production systems. Very confident with computer programs (e.g.
Windows, Office). We are all in for change.
