Who are we looking for?
Our client is seeking an experienced and passionate NHT/CCR Process Optimization Consultant to join our Global Manufacturing Excellence (GME) organization under the Downstream Operation Engineering Solutions Department (OESD) and drive performance improvements for our clients. OESD's technical team is a multidisciplinary team that provides the necessary high-quality technical support to GM operating facilities (refineries, NGL facilities, and petrochemical plants) within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and across the globe. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical mind and a proven track record of optimizing NHT and CCR processes. You'll utilize your deep hands-on experience to identify optimization opportunities, develop data-driven recommendations, and guide clients towards maximum impact.
Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. A Masters Degree or PhD is preferred with a focus on process optimization.15 years of experience in process engineering, with at least 10 years of hands-on technical experience in NHT and CCR optimization within a refinery environment, and at least 5 years in a technical role focused on process improvement.Strong technical background in process engineering fundamentals, including reaction kinetics, thermodynamics, and mass and energy balances, as applied to NHT and CCR units.Proficiency in leading process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II) and their application in NHT and CCR process modeling and optimization.Demonstrated technical experience in successfully applying process optimization techniques, statistical data analysis, and advanced process control (APC) to drive measurable improvements in NHT and CCR units.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.A proven track record of applying technical expertise to drive optimization and manage client relationships effectively in the refining industry.Willingness to travel for on-site client engagements.Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive technical assessments of clients' NHT and CCR units, focusing on identifying areas for optimization in yield, efficiency, and product quality.Apply your technical expertise to translate insights into actionable recommendations, supported by detailed cost-benefit analyses and clear implementation roadmaps.Collaborate closely with clients' process engineering teams, providing technical guidance for troubleshooting, problem-solving, and continuous optimization.Lead technical benchmarking initiatives, comparing client performance against industry best practices to identify improvement gaps and provide recommendations.Develop and deliver targeted technical training programs on NHT/CCR technologies, best practices, and optimization strategies.Guide clients in selecting and implementing advanced process simulation tools and optimization techniques for NHT and CCR units.Provide expert technical advice on catalyst management strategies, including performance monitoring, selection, and replacement, based on hands-on experience.Stay up-to-date with the latest technical advancements, best practices, and NHT/CCR process optimization technologies, sharing this knowledge with clients to enhance their operations.Build strong, long-term relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional satisfaction and identifying opportunities for further technical collaboration.Job Benefits Monthly Base Salary – aligned with company employees with similar skillsMonthly Overbase – 25% of your monthly base salaryBenefits Supplement – 20% of your monthly base salary, after 3 years of service, reward increases to 25% of base, after 6 years 30% of base, and after 12 years 35% of baseSeverance Package (2-year vest period) – year 2 to 5: 2 week's pay for each year of service, Year 6+: 4 week's pay for each year afterEmployment Tax – if employee chooses to separate themselves from their 'home country' for income tax purposes, most will not be required to pay 'home country' income taxes; company will not report income to the 'home country' governments.
