AtkinsRéalis is looking for Process Engineer(s) to be a part of our team in supporting the design of new nuclear power plants and the operation and refurbishment of existing CANDU nuclear power plants.

Location - Buenos Aires, Argentina Your role within the team Provide design solutions and assessments for new, updated and modified process systems, structures and components.Perform design/analysis of hydraulic and electro-mechanical systems.Provide technical guidance and leadership to engineers at lower grade levels and/or other technical employees.Ensure adherence to company quality program.Prepare and/or review design documents for Nuclear Power Plants; e.g., Design Calculation, Design Requirements, Assessments, Technical Specifications, Drawings, Bill of Materials, and System Code Classification.Prepare and/or review Engineering Quotation Request and Tender Technical Evaluations.Support Engineering Management with timely updates on engineering progress.Perform walkdowns, attend site visits and meetings as required.Ensure applicable code, standards and regulatory requirements are met.Provide support for the preparation of Engineering proposals.Interface with internal and external stakeholders as required. The ideal candidate Engineering degree from an accredited University in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering or Engineering Science with minimum of 1, 5 or 10 years (Jr., Intermediate and Sr. positions, respectively) of experience in process-system design/analysis, preferably providing design solutions for CANDU nuclear power plants or BWR/PWR markets.Experience performing work to nuclear power plants procedures and practices and qualifications for nuclear power plants engineering activities is an asset.Strong technical knowledge of all aspects encompassing CANDU nuclear processes, analyses, equipment, and control.Experience performing heat balance and thermohydraulic evaluations.Experience in process system design and layout.Knowledge of analytical tools used for mechanical and process design; e.g., ANSYS, Mathcad, Flomaster, NUCIRC, CATHENA or similar.Working knowledge of/experience using nuclear Codes and Standards, including CSA N285.0 and ASME Section III.Working knowledge of/experience with the CSA B51 standard, ASME B31.1 codes and other nuclear-power-plant applicable standards or regulatory guides related to permanent plant components, pressure boundary equipment, and/or reactor systems.Must have excellent communication and technical writing skills in English.Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.Site experience in construction, or commissioning of plant mechanical systems for nuclear or other heavy industries is an asset.Able to acquire Security Clearance and pass police and background checks that are conducted.
