Job Overview: Maintains, improves, and optimizes process manufacturing environments. Assists with determining sequence of processes required to assemble products within organizations standards of quality and cost.
Responsibilities: Assists with determining the sequence of processes required to fabricate and assemble products that meet organizations standards of quality and cost.Analyzes product specifications, parts, drawings, and data to develop new production processes, estimate time requirements for each step, and prepare operation sheets.Investigates non-routine process and product issues and implement effective solutions by applying standard techniques and procedures.Supports continuous improvement projects that will minimize risks and costs and improve productivity, quality and consistency of products.Performs process capability studies and audits as required to maintain highest level of product quality.Plans and prepares for product changes and their impact on production processes.May provide guidance to less senior engineers.Participates in regularly scheduled team meetings.Will perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or other relevant degree required.
3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, automotive preferred.
Knowledge & Skills: Utilize system analysis of production methods/procedures and process automations for continued growth improvements.Ability to present complex technical information related to achieving goals of the department.Able to anticipate needs and deliver timely, relevant solutions and actions.Experience in process layout and optimization incorporating asset utilization.Knowledge of value stream mapping to reduce waste and improve output in a production environment is desired.Proven written and verbal communication to all levels.We are all in for change.
