Description The position of Drivetrain EE components Senior HW Engineer at Mercedes-Benz RD China is looking for a dynamic, dedicated, and versatile engineer specializing in Drivetrain EE Hardware, who will lead advanced projects and develop products that meet targets and comply with market regulations.
Responsibilities: Overall responsibility for Drivetrain EE HW components, including sensors, actuators, and EE connections for combustion engines and batteries (e.g., Rail Pressure Sensor, Bus, Current sensor, Contactor, etc.).Extensive networking and cooperation between Germany corresponding departments & RD China organization.Leading activities for development, localization, and lifecycle management for drivetrain EE HW components, including project management, concept design, validation, release, documentation, supplier management, and change management (25%).Managing issue resolution processes for plant and field issues, conducting technical analysis, defining testing procedures, preparing and executing tests, analyzing results, validating and implementing solutions (15%).Overall field issue coordination as CIRT speaker and PF-team speaker (50%).Other RD and cross-functional tasks assigned by the team lead (10%).Qualifications Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.Experience: 5+ years of experience in OEM or supplier environments, focusing on automotive E/E component development, localization, and lifecycle management.Specific Knowledge: Profound knowledge and practical experience in automotive or Drivetrain development.Proficiency in E/E components, drivetrain, and vehicle development. Experience in hardware development for control units is a plus.Proficiency in failure analysis; green-belt or black-belt certification is an advantage.Experience with testing tools such as Monaco, Inca, CANoe, CANape, etc.Ability to work effectively in diverse teams, handle pressure, and face challenges.Fluent in English (written and spoken); German is beneficial.Practical driving experience is an advantage.
