As a member of the Hacienda Spa team, you will play an integral role in representing the Los Poblanos brand and our unique well-being model. You will have the opportunity to enrich the guest experience by connecting guests to our historic property and organic farm through spa and wellness services. The pool attendant is responsible for monitoring the pool facility, greeting, and engaging with guests, enforcing pool policies and maintaining the overall aesthetic standards of the area.

Duties & ResponsibilitiesPromptly welcome and acknowledge guests by nameProvide orientation tour of the pool facility, explaining pool/spa amenities and answering guests' questionsActively build a rapport with guests to understand the nature of their stay allowing us to anticipate their needs and create a customized experienceWalk all assigned areas throughout shift; remove dirty towels, pick up trash and service traysIssue and restock pool linen and supplies to ensure proper inventory levelsSet up and/or breakdown pool area dailyMaintain pool showers and bathroom area throughout shiftMaintain a safe, clean, stocked and well-organized environmentAssist in facilitating guest activities and seasonal offerings at the poolFollow and enforce safety protocols and proceduresStrive to create a personalized experience for every guestFoster a work environment of teamwork and mutual service by assisting coworkers and other departments as necessary to exceed our guest's expectationsHandle guest questions and concerns professionally and courteouslyActively promote spa treatments, wellness offerings, promotions and general property informationDevelop ability to work without constant direct supervisionWork in conjunction with the F&B department to provide drink and food service to guestsRegularly attend and participate in spa trainings and meetingsFollow opening and closing checklist as assigned by managementBe on time for scheduled shift and uphold a good attendance recordAssist with the setup and cleanup of wellness classesAssist in all areas of spa operation as requested by managementEssential Job FunctionsMust possess a cooperative and positive attitudeWarm and kind, goal-oriented and outgoing with great people skillsMust be detail-oriented and can multi-taskMust be able to interact professionally and with sensitivity to the needs of the guests and co-workersDemonstrate respect, sensitivity and concern for guests' needs with a professional and pleasant mannerCollaboration and partnering – Identifies opportunities and takes action to build relationships between individuals, teams and departments, to help achieve business goalsCommunicate to management all occurrences involving staff or guests that require attention immediatelyAct as a positive role model and ambassador for Los Poblanos, its employees and the communityMaintain up to date knowledge on propertyRequirementsMust be able to stand for long periods of timeMust be able to regularly lift and/or move 15 poundsMust be available to work varying shifts such as nights, weekends and holidaysMust have 2+ years customer service experienceAlcohol servers licenseMust be 19+ years oldUnderstanding of, and enthusiastic about, LP well-being modelProvide the highest standards for professionalism, hospitality and collaborationAppreciative of LP's unique setting on an organic farm with inn, spa, shop and restaurant patrons on property at any given time
