Who are we looking for? The Southern Area Production Engineering Department (SAPED) is seeking experienced Petroleum Engineers for roles in the Oil/Gas Production Engineering Divisions. As pivotal members of the oil and gas engineering team, successful candidates will provide technical support across all aspects of oil and gas well activities, including completions, operations, surveillance/optimization, intervention, and implementation of new technologies. Strong communication skills are essential for conveying engineering activities through presentations, technical papers, and reports.
Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate major studies in Petroleum Engineering areas, interpreting scope and objectives established by management, directing all phases of the study, and delivering formal summary reports and presentations to management and technical personnel. Provide technical guidance to management and related engineering groups on budget studies, development programs, and reservoir studies, ensuring efficiency and adherence to objectives. Review and assess activities in various phases of Petroleum Engineering and Oil Operations, recommending initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance understanding of oil field production and reservoir behavior. Serve as a consultant in formulating policy recommendations for management regarding data and information to be provided to relevant authorities, ensuring accuracy and safeguarding the organization's interests. Stay abreast of engineering, research, and operational procedures globally, recommending adaptation and application of advantageous practices and equipment. Review the work of engineers assigned to projects requiring additional manpower. Assist in the training and orientation of new engineering personnel. Minimum Requirements +7 years of experience as a production engineer in the upstream oil and gas industry. Experience in electric submersible pump design, installation, and troubleshooting is required, along with proficiency in PE software applications for flow simulation, tubing movement, nodal analysis, and production surveillance. Experience in well integrity diagnostics, production optimization, stimulation, fracturing treatment, and scale prevention and treatment is also essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to deliver technical presentations, write technical papers, and evaluate reports are required.
