Glencore Copper is seeking a Permitting Planner to support the project planning function regarding all permitting efforts across MARA and PACHON projects in support of the Project Controls Manager, following guidelines from the Regional Planning Manager.
This role is responsible for contributing to weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports to inform the project leadership team about the status of the project.
The role is accountable for preparing and coordinating planning presentations to the project senior management team as required. The role will ensure the procedures and standards provided by the PMO are thoroughly followed.
Location: Hybrid mode - based in San Juan or Tucuman with FIFO to various project locations on demand.

Tertiary Qualifications – Engineering, Construction management, Project management and/or related disciplines.Certification from AACE, PRINCE II and/or PMI, or other related project management certification is favorable.5 years' experience in planning roles within the resource or petrochemical industry; experience within construction companies will be a plus.Proven experience with greenfield projects across the entire project lifecycle, from detailed engineering through commissioning, setting up project baselines and implementing updating and forecasting work cycles.Proven experience setting up progress reporting systems for the various project phases: Engineering, Procurement, Construction, commissioning.Extensive hands-on experience using Microsoft Project and Oracle Primavera P6.Knowledge of earned value techniques.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of the organization.Ability to summarize large amounts of data in order to convey specific messages to different stakeholders.Ability to tie-in and consolidate with full logic multiple third-party schedules from consultants and contractors into the project master schedule for progress reporting and forecasting purposes.Proven experience developing, leading, and motivating teams.Strong leadership and relationship-building skills, including internal and external stakeholders.Semi-autonomous, self-motivated, highly proactive, and resilient attitude.Business, facilitation, analytical, leadership/management, and negotiation capabilities.Commercial and financial acumen.Advanced written and oral skills in both Spanish and English.Competencies and Behaviors required for success in the role:
