Position Responsibility: Responsible for maintaining the payroll system, processing biweekly and semi-monthly payroll. Reviewing employee timesheet and other payroll/finance files. Coordination directly with Human Resources and Finance Department to ensure consistent messaging related to pay and benefit packages. Staying current with all wage and hour laws and process payroll within those guidelines is a requirement. Position Duties: Manage compensation packages using payroll software- ADP Workforce NowCollect and verify timekeeping information for all employeesCalculate pay according to hours worked incorporating leaves and overtimeCalculate bonuses and commissions when appropriateManage and calculate taxes and deductionsInitiate periodical payments timely either by preparing and administering checks or making direct deposits through a bank payment systemReview benefits, reconcile, and pay monthly benefit statements. Issues statements and invoices and maintain recordsUpdate paper and electronic payroll records by entering adjustments on pay rates, employee status changes etc.Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in payrollAbility to problem solve software and tech issuesPrepare and submit reports with payroll information to supervisorMaintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures, and reporting needed changes.Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.Ensuring compliance with current government regulationsCommunicate and administer wage garnishment as directed by state, federal and local agenciesPerforming data entry and reconciling timecardsReview employee timecards for accuracy, completeness and make sure employees are clocking in onsiteAssist employees to enter hours on their timecards or to change hours entered incorrectlyAnswer basic and complex timekeeping questionsOther duties as assignedRequirements:Proven experience as payroll clerk or payroll coordinatorFamiliarity with general accounting principlesExperience in data collection, entry and reporting with great attention to detail and confidentialitySolid knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and regulationsComputer savvy with working knowledge of relevant software (e.g. ADP-WFN)Exquisite math and numerical skillsOutstanding organizational and time management skillsExcellent communication abilities with aptitude in problem-solvingHigh school diploma or equivalent; BSc/BA in accounting/business administration is a plusBenefits: Highly competitive pay based on skills/experienceGroup Health Plan (Medical, Dental, Vision)Voluntary InsuranceEmployer Assistance ProgramFlexible Spending Account PlanPaid HolidaysPaid Time Off401K Retirement PlanOur employees are members of the family, who share our same goals and passions.
