1. Job Overview: You will be responsible for defining spare parts for Interior parts commodity for service and maintenance of vehicles and defining and documenting spare parts for the related components. You will be working closely with colleagues from R&D of Interior and workshop for defining the best ways to repair vehicles.
2. Principle Accountability: You will be accountable for the Interior parts definition, Parts creation and customer complaints projects involved in Parts Information topic. Additionally, you carry responsibility for committed projects, resource-planning and aligning work with respect to the department strategy maintaining Quality, Cost, Time. You will need to ensure KPI of the projects are monitored, tracked and targets achieved as per yearly agreements. QMS standards are followed, tracked, and monitored on a regular basis. You will have to connect with all stakeholders regularly for partner engagement and when required escalation management. You will be expected to participate in Innovation and continuous improvement activities. You should be improving your competency over time. 3. Skill-Sets/Experience: You are a domain expert in Automotive mechanical components and its engineering technology. You hold expertise in UG NX with good understanding of 3D data analysis. You should be able to read and understand the 2D drawings of the components. You are also an expert in Engineering change management and release documentation along with having knowledge of variants control and BOM management. You should have knowledge about interior components like cockpit, HVAC, steering, seating, airbags & door trims. Coordinate with the Engineering Team on documenting the parts. Act as liaison between Engineering, Supply Chain, Purchasing and Customers. Troubleshoot BOM, Configurator and Sales Order entry issues. Determine the most effective approach to resolving issues. You hold working experience in products relevant to repair workshops but your experience with the latest manufacturing technologies should be visible from your deliverables. Also, you should be well versed with Spare Parts, manufacturing, ordering and logistics. Your deep understanding of the Product Development process in series and aftersales influences faster decision making by headquarters in Germany. Having hands-on experience for assembling and dismantling the parts in vehicle will be helpful. Thanks to your communicative strength and assertiveness, you lead discussions on technical feasibility of Interior manufacturing techniques with various junior and senior colleagues. Your awareness of QMS standards and experience in CAD methodology, Norms, DBL standards and Tools is an added advantage. Knowledge of Mercedes-Benz portfolio is an added advantage.
