Responsibilities: Precision Imaging: You'll ensure high-quality MRI scans, visualizing the human body in incredible detail. Patient Care: Interacting with patients, explaining procedures, and ensuring their comfort throughout the imaging process. Technical Expertise: Operating MRI equipment, adjusting parameters, optimizing image quality, and minimizing radio frequency exposure while maintaining patient safety. Collaboration: Working closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret images accurately. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience: License to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in the State of New York. Registration Certification for Contrast Injection in the State of New York. Current Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). Education and Experience: Associate's degree and one (1) year of full-time experience as an MRI Technologist; or Certificate in Radiologic Technology from an accredited Institution and one (1) year of full-time experience as an MRI Technologist; or Associate's degree and three (3) years of full-time experience as a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist; or Equivalent experience gained by the completion of technical training as an MRI Technologist at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center may be substituted for the above experience requirement. NOTES: As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain and maintain the Registration Certification for Contrast Injection in the State of New York within six (6) months of their appointment. As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain and maintain the certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within ninety (90) days of their appointment.
