Main Purpose
Ensure the packaging designs meet the specifications and requirements of the product, the packaging lines, the customer, and the market, fostering organizational agility and equipping productive teams with comprehensive tools for sustained success throughout the entire Product Life Cycle Management.
Your mission will be to
Technical (packaging) accountability for the product portfolio of the Value Streams (VSs), within the oral solids (Solid tablets and effervescent tablets) and Soft Gels Capsules form packed at the Pilar site and supplied in all markets (Argentina, Cono Sur, LATAM, EMEA, etc.).
Provided support to packaging production lines in solving problems that involved packaging elements by providing technical experience and working with suppliers.
Lead packaging trials, scale-up, and line modifications to evaluate new packaging or changes to existing packaging materials.
Technical evaluation of changes in packaging materials (primary, secondary and tertiary) and arts linked with the needs of the site packaging lines.
Create and approve packaging specifications and designs.
Support regulatory submissions of new packaging solutions.
Align with packaging material suppliers the specifications and designs to be implemented.
Participate as a packaging reference in the reduction of write-offs linked to packaging materials that generate inefficiencies in production lines.
Support the VS business continuity through technical support for sourcing mitigations & proactive multi-source activities related to packaging material.
Comply with the safety culture across VS operation, from process and product design, ensuring that the processes and products will ensure an accident-free environment.
Comply with all Bayer policies and directives as well as external regulatory compliance, including environmental aspects of the plant.
Drive a proactive approach to VS quality, assuring compliance with GMP and all relevant regulations and standards.
Plan, executed and controlled the VS technical project budget and their associated cost centers delivering innovative alternatives to support Cost efficiency targets.
Unlock your potential
Degree (graduated or about to graduate- no more than 1 year) in Chemical, Food or Industrial Engineering, Pharmacy, Biochemistry or Biotechnology; postgraduate or specialization in Packaging Engineer/materials will be a plus.
At least 3 years of experience in operative areas (Production, Quality, Process, Development, etc.) in GMP manufacturing industries (Pharma, Food, etc.) is required.
Experience in Packaging Technology will be a plus.
Must be able to fluently read, write, and speak English; ability to understand verbal and written instructions; ability to make oral presentations fluently.
Basic knowledge in the implementation of continuous improvement tools (lean manufacturing) in operational areas; mindset in digitalization processes and industry 4.0 will be a plus.
Personal computer (PC) skills are required, including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, MS Project, SAP and AUTOCAD.
