Job Description:Active Church is a non-denominational Christian church located in the beautiful city of San Luis Obispo, CA. Sitting just a few miles from the Pacific Ocean, this city is a cherished destination along California's Central Coast. Active Church is led by Lead Pastor Adam Magana & his wife Stacy, who planted the church in 2017. The church has since then purchased a building and moved into their new facility in March of 2022, which is located minutes from downtown SLO.

OUTCOMESEvaluate – Be responsible for the overall direction and supervision of the Ministry calendar. Meet and communicate regularly with ministry and church leaders to listen, provide information and evaluate the Ministry.Yearly Calendar – Lead the process to create the ministry yearly calendar with clear rationale for each program and event and an explanation of how each will help take the next step in their development and how this will make church a place where families go to get better.Training – Develop and execute strategies that will grow the ministry each year. These strategies must include opportunities and training that will inspire individuals to invite friends and have spiritual conversations with their friends.Monthly Events – Create engaging monthly environments that gather individuals through worship, teaching, connection, and services.Life Groups – Create systems and environments that ensure everyone is connected in a life group.FAMILIESTo make church a place where families go to get better by developing a thriving program that partners with parents in discipling their student, points the way for them to follow Jesus to more life than ever before, and produces the next generation of church leaders.Working in partnership with other ministry leaders, develop systems, teams, and opportunities for individuals to use their strengths to serve the church and community. Showing involvement of families/students who participate in weekend services serving in the church.Develop and execute systems that connect new families/students, streamline check-in making sure all info is captured, facilitate baptisms, and train every new and existing volunteer at 100% functionality.Develop and execute strategies that "go home" with families, for the purpose of helping parents disciple their students. Show involvement of parents with a disciple-making step for their student.Communicate consistently with parents.KIDSOversee weekly weekend ministry experience.Conduct a weekly, high-energy kids church.Lead regular planning meetings for kids ministry leadership team.Develop a team responsible for technology needs in children's ministry environments.Develop a team responsible for kids worship.Regularly review and evaluate presentation and general appearance of children's ministry environments.Plan and execute special events including community outreaches such as: VBS, Pajama Jam, Easter Eggstravaganza, Back To School Student Outreach, father daughter dance, mother & son event, direct Kids baptism orientations.Administrate curriculum and programs.Schedule occasional on-site child care during various church events.YOUTHOversee and grow our youth ministry (6th-12th grade).Recruit and train volunteer youth leaders and support staff, develop a dynamic, outreach-oriented weekly youth program.Connect with students equally on a personal and digital level (social media).Develop a high school discipleship/leadership training program and partner with the local schools.Communicate with parents on a weekly basis.Connect with students daily, weekly, and monthly.Promote and recruit students and leaders to serve in the church and attend annual camps and mission trips.Coordinate large quarterly student outreach events.Be available to serve at a high capacity level for "ALL HANDS ON DECK" events.Be fun, friendly, and make students feel welcomed. A team player with all ministries. Building and equipping a volunteer ministry team.YOUNG ADULTSAssume responsibility for the overall growth and development of Young Adult Ministry, working with adults ages 18 to 30, both single and married.Implement programming that helps college-aged & young adults to comfortably know each other through various events, including service or mission-oriented trips.Lead in planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating a comprehensive educational program for the Ministry to assist in their spiritual growth by utilizing small group and large group opportunities.Lead in planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating a program for outreach to the unchurched Young Adults in the community by conducting activities both on and off campus.Lead in planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating a program for involving Young Adults in service opportunities to assist those affiliated and unaffiliated with church ministries.Lead a weekly gathering targeted to Young Adults for the purpose of outreach, spiritual growth, and building community.Partner with outside programs/camps to provide opportunities for Young Adults to participate in mission endeavors both nationally and internationally.Recruit and train volunteer leaders to assist in overseeing programs related to evangelism, discipleship, and missions within the Young Adult ministries.Application Deadline11/04/2024
