The IT department is seeking new candidates to its dynamic team. The department provides support worldwide to the Organizations all along the value chain from exploration thru site development to production.
What role you will play in our teamAs a Network Engineer you will be responsible for designing, deploying and providing guidance for installation and maintenance of our Company network backbone, supporting over 1000 globally distributed sites.Our office is located in Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires and you will interact with engineers and users from all around the world.What you will doDesign, implement, optimize, and troubleshoot complex network solutions to support business growth.Ensure company connectivity is up to date, performant and reliable.Enhance and expand network monitoring systems.Continuously improve automation, cloud integration and staying on top of demands to ensure a secure infrastructure.Perform investigation and escalation requests to troubleshoot systems including but not limited to network components.About youBachelor Degree or close to graduating in Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computing Engineering, Computer Science or similar.Advanced English skills, verbal and written communication.Working experience in a Network Engineer or Site Reliability Engineer role.Ability to design and implement network solutions for both LAN and WAN.Management of Routing, Switching, VRF, SDWAN, Wireless & monitoring tools.Advanced knowledge on network protocols such as BGP, TCP, IP addressing, DNS and DHCP.Willingness to learn new technologies.Ability to interact with vendors.Preferred Qualifications/ExperienceWorking experience in an Agile organization.Knowledge on Cisco, Versa or Juniper platforms.Network security knowledge such as Firewall management, ACL and Authentication.Willingness to develop automation and tools to increase reliability and reduce time to market using scripting and orchestration technologies such as Python, Ansible, Terraform.Prior experience with any cloud vendor (e.g. Azure, AWS or GCP).An ExxonMobil career is one designed to last.
