Location: Cirencester Office Workplace Type: Hybrid Employment Type: Permanent Seniority: Mid-Senior Level We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join the Network and Unified Comms Team in our Technology Division.
The Network Engineer will ensure all SJP's physical & wireless networks and remote access infrastructure are available and continue to run efficiently whilst implementing new technologies.
The role is directly responsibility for several operational systems.
These include all aspects of our network including physical & wireless networks, datacentre connectivity, network & web security, secure partner access, secure web gateway and mobile device management If you are a skilled network professional with a keen interest in financial services, we would love you hear from you!
What you'll be doing?
Maintaining, supporting, and improving corporate connectivity by proactively monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages should they occur.
Developing and supporting the Partner and employee secure remote access solutions and maintaining and support our secure web gateway.
Leading, implementing and supporting new solutions and improve resilience of the current network environment.
Undertaking network capacity management, continuous service improvement, and supplier management.
Providing expert Network SME support across the business and leading on network related projects.
Participation in the shift and 24/7 on call rota (Qualifies for an additional payment).
Who are we looking for?
Solid understanding of networking technologies and ability to be able to provide 3rd line(or above) network support.
Experience with Firewalls(Palo Alto), Switching(Cisco), Wireless(Aruba), MDM(Ivanti), Cloud technology(Zscaler), Microsoft Server technologies, or similar technology.
Be able to problem solve and the ability to carry out in depth detailed analysis of complex networking systems.
Understanding context is essential and you must demonstrate a high level of skill to ensure effective communication across all levels of stakeholders What's in it for you?
