We are seeking a Mortgage Loan Processor to join our lending team. The mission of the Mortgage Loan Processor is to assist Homewise mortgage loan customers in obtaining approval by preparing complete loan applications for Underwriting in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner.
The Mortgage Loan Processor is responsible for carrying out the following duties: Receives pre-qualified loan applications from Mortgage Loan Officers.Coordinates with borrowers to compile all necessary documentation.Collects and analyzes third-party documentation as necessary for all applications.Assists Loan Officer in resolving documentation that conflicts with original borrower representations.Prepares application files and submits to Underwriter.Scans all application documentation into the electronic imaging system.Works closely with other internal departments, including, but not limited to, Home Purchase Advisors, Home Buyer Coaches, Real Estate Sales, Real Estate Development, and Loan Operations, to ensure best practices in customer service.Uses the Homewise, Inc. STARS database system, Outlook, Calyx Loan Origination system, and other electronic tools to provide the best service to customers.Compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.Requirements Competencies: Customer service. Expect personal performance to be nothing short of the best.Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of two years' customer service experience is requiredMortgage industry experience preferredAbility to serve Spanish-speaking clients in Spanish requiredWork Schedule Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and/or weekends on occasion.No overtime allowed without preapprovalExpected to be available 8:00 am to 5:00 pmPhysical Requirements This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.Must be able to occasionally lift up to 20 poundsMust be able to maneuver around various client business offices and workspaces.
