Our design office is looking for a dynamic and experienced MEP Design Coordinator to support ongoing design development of several luxury projects in the Caribbean basin. The ideal candidate will have:
a degree in civil or mechanical engineering or engineering management concentration in mechanical systems, HVAC no less than six years of mechanical systems design experience working for a design consultancy or a general contractor no less than two years working as a MEP design manager / design coordinator This is a full time day job with expected involvement up to 40 hours a week.
This is a fully remote job with relatively flexible working hours. But we expect you to work normal London working hours 9-17 or 10-18 and to participate in daily meetings, coordination meetings and calls with external designers.
Responsibilities Provide technical support and guidance to in-house design & QS teams, third party designers, consultants and contractors throughout the design process. Develop guidelines and standards for MEP engineering design. Review and evaluate MEP design to ensure compliance with project requirements. Collaborate with architects, engineers and managers to optimize MEP systems integration. Timely resolve technical issues and challenges during the design phase. Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations related to MEP systems. Improve quality and performance of MEP systems in construction projects. Lead the value engineering of MEP part. Manage, control and track changes and variations in accordance with the corporate routine. Education
Bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering or engineering managementWork Experience
Proven experience in MEP engineering design 6+ years. Proven experience in MEP design coordination 2+ years. Two completed high-end hospitality projects (5-star hotels, boutique hotels, luxury villas and private homes (1000sq.m.+). In-depth knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations related to MEP systems. Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit). Experience with sustainable and energy-efficient MEP design practices. Knowledge of value engineering and changes management procedures. Knowledge

Professional level of English and Spanish languages (C1) is a must. Ability to work full time day job in GMT time zone (remote) is a must.
