The OpportunityJoin our team as a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter on the night shift at Bardon Hill Quarry, our flagship site for Aggregate Industries. This is a full-time, permanent role that offers you a unique opportunity to bring your mechanical expertise to a fast-paced, safety-focused environment. Working on a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern, you'll be essential in keeping our plant running smoothly and supporting continuous improvement.

Perform essential maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and equipment upgrades.Ensure all work aligns with safety standards and contributes to a safe working environment.Identify potential issues early, helping to prevent unplanned downtime during production during the day shift.Carry out routine assessments to ensure machinery and structures remain reliable.Focus on continuous improvement, driving efficiency and performance across the site.Collaborate with the team to maximize resource use and ensure smooth, 24/7 operations.Who you areYou're a hands-on mechanical professional with experience in an industrial setting, ready to make a positive impact on our team. You have:
Solid mechanical maintenance skills, ideally with experience in quarry or heavy manufacturing settings, but it's not essential.A minimum of a level 3 NVQ in mechanical engineering or equivalent.Safety as your top priority, committed to following all necessary protocols.Comfort in working independently and collaborating well with others.The ability to solve problems quickly, minimising equipment downtime.A keen attention to detail, carrying out inspections and maintenance tasks with care.Adaptability and motivation, ready to thrive on a rotating night shift.BenefitsWe offer the following benefits:
