We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support our Projects in Tarragona Office, joining our local team.
This position supports on assigned projects through the following Key Responsibilities:
Apply Cost Competitive Execution techniques to develop the most cost-effective total project solution for execution of the discipline engineering workReview project Scope of Services, Scope of Facilities, and other project baseline documents for all phases of projectsReview estimates and schedules, progress reports, including manpower forecastsEstablish, track, and monitor material key quantities; provide analysis and forecastsDevelop and review specifications, including design criteriaIncorporate health, safety, and environmental factors in designReview and approve vendor lists, prepare quotation requests/bid tabulations/purchase orders and review substitutions for technical acceptabilityPerform and check calculations, specify equipment, and solve problems of moderate or complex engineering problemsEstablish and lead the squad check effort for vendor equipment documentation for assigned equipmentReview vendor equipment documentation within the discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolutionSupport proposal and estimate activitiesIdentify deviations in job scope, estimate magnitude of changes, and initiate trends or change ordersExecute project work in accordance with approved Activity PlansAdhere to industry codes and standards as well as department practices and proceduresAnalyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelinesOrganize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlinesMaintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standardsMay need to travel to attend to business related mattersMeet expectations on attendance and punctualityOther duties as assignedNotice to Candidates: Background checks are carried out as part of any conditional offer made, including (but not limited to & role dependent) education, professional registration, employment, references, passport verifications and Global Watchlist screening.

Basic Job Requirements Establish equipment requirements and prepare equipment data sheets for mechanical equipment including unfired and fired heat transfer equipment, pressure vessels, rotating or packaged equipmentEvaluate dimensions, equipment connections, and equipment performance including pressure profiles, heat transfer rates, and off-design casesProvide equipment sizing and application support to project development or processParticipate in material selection for equipmentDevelop and revise equipment lists, narrative specifications, equipment standards, equipment general arrangement and outline drawingsParticipate in supplier/contractor bid clarification, negotiation, and/or award meetingsRepresent Mechanical and participate in model reviewsProvide consultation during fabrication and witness testing of equipmentProvide consultation and/or on-site assistance for the installation, commissioning, and/or start up of equipmentIntermediate knowledge of design of mechanical equipment through all stages of a project from conceptual phase to design development, construction, and commissioningEducation, Experience & Skills: Accredited five (5) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and five (5) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirementsExperience on Mechanical strength calculation (Compress, Autopipe Vessel, PVElite or similar)Experience on Heat Transfer calculation (HTRI, EDR or similar)Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitorsJob related technical knowledge necessary to complete the jobAbility to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelinesAbility to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective mannerRequisition Number: 147654BR
