?About the role?
We Mercedes-Benz Research & Development Japan are looking for an MB.OS Infotainment Integration Engineer responsible for the integration of one specific infotainment generation for several carlines for the Japanese market. In this role you will be the key person managing the overall telematics system integration including vehicle preparation, planning and execution of test drives in collaboration with test engineers, development engineers, suppliers and management to reach maximum overall system maturity before start of production.
?What you will do?
Always have the full overview of current system maturity including all its sub-systems and identify where work needs to be done to meet the deadlines of the project Preparation of test vehicles including vehicle preparation, HW/SW exchange/flashing/coding ECU's and maintaining full release conformity of test cars Plan and executetest drives together with test- and development engineers Hands-on testing of the overall infotainment system and overall EE-system Regular reporting of new findings, existing blockers and overall system maturity to developers, suppliers and management Defect management and follow-up with developers and suppliers Reach agreement on systemmaturity and customer releasein collaborationwith stakeholders (R&D Japan, R&D HQ Germany,Mercedes-Benz Japan etc.) About 15 - 20 minutes' walk from JR Hirama or Shin Kawasaki Station to the office. *As a general rule, this is a local contract position

Qualifications Versatile system thinker with a track record of driving complex technical projects in cross-functional teams 4+ years working experience in automotive EE system integration/development or related technical field 2+ years experience in automotive infotainment development, integration or validation Strong understanding for automotive infotainment systems and connectivity/backendinfrastructure Exceptionally collaborative approach, very good interpersonal and intercultural skills Ability to build up and maintain a strong network with various stakeholders across continents Strong overall knowledge of vehicle electric and electronics especially CAN/LIN/Flexray/Ethernet communication systems Experience using automotive diagnostic tools such as Vector, DTS Monaco, ET Framework etc. Experience in hands-on troubleshooting of electrical issues in automobiles Pro-active attitude and exceptional problem solving skills High enthusiasm for automotive industry and tech industry in general Fluent English is mandatory Japanese/German language skills are highly desired Japanese driver's license or possible to obtain B.Eng. / B.Sc. / M.Eng. / M.Sc. incomputer science, electrical, automotive or mechanical engineering or equivalent education R&D Japan offers an internationally-minded and very intercultural working environment.
