?About the role?
We Mercedes-Benz Research & Development Japan are looking for an MB.OS Connected Services Integration Engineer. As Connected Services Integration Engineer, you will be the key person for the integration of all Connected Services into the MB.OS system for all carlines for the Japanese market. You will work in close collaboration with Telematics Integration, developers, and counterparts in the German HQ.
?What you will do?
Always keep the full overview of maturity of Connected Services, identify where work needs to be done in order to release the features to the customer in time. Responsible for keeping a fleet of about 30 test cars connected, all relevant Connected Services activated and ready to test by Connected Services testers and other teams. Use a variety of different tools to troubleshoot the connectivity from the car to the backend if Connected Services are not working as expected. Regular hands-on testing of all Connected Features, creating error tickets for found issues and regularly following up on the status, drive the fixing process. Coordinate a small number of external testers who support you in testing of Connected Services, distribute test cases and collect results. Regularly evaluate and report the overall maturity to Telematics System Integration team, Connected Services counterparts, and management in German headquarters, escalation of blockers. ?Qualifications?
Versatile system thinker with a track record of driving complex technical projects in cross-functional teams. B.Eng. / B.Sc. / M.Eng. / M.Sc. in computer science, electrical, automotive, mechanical engineering, or equivalent education. 4+ years working experience in automotive EE integration/development or related technical field. 2+ years experience in automotive Connected Features integration, development, or validation. Strong understanding of automotive infotainment systems and connectivity/backend infrastructure. Exceptionally collaborative approach, very good interpersonal and intercultural skills. Ability to build up and maintain a strong network with various stakeholders across continents. Experience using automotive diagnostic tools such as DTS Monaco, ET Framework, Vector tools, etc. Pro-active attitude and good problem-solving skills. High enthusiasm for the automotive industry and tech industry in general. Fluent English is mandatory. Japanese/German language skills are highly desired. Japanese driver's license or possible to obtain. We are looking for a person who is enthusiastic about new technology and its possibilities, who also proactively thinks about new service offers and can drive their implementation together with developers and stakeholders across the globe.
