Support the timely processing of customer orders, raw materials receipts, components receipts into both warehouses, packaging lines and production areas. Other functions include charitable requests, export requests, and stock transfer requests to other AstraZeneca distribution centers. This may also include special orders, third party requirements, as well as processing some finished goods receipts.
This support requires operation of a forklift and interfacing with various inventory and plant control systems, including the SAP Warehouse Management System, the finished goods automated storage and retrieval system or Material Handling System (MHS), and knowledge of the computer-aided picking activities to support business sales targets and shipping deadlines.
Major Responsibilities:Assist with various material receipts, including inbound finished goods receipts, requiring breaking down and verifying contents.Pull and deliver materials for packaging lines based on production schedule and BOM.Responsible for replenishment of products into the various Kanban picking areas while maintaining quality and lot/batch integrity.Maintain inventory accuracy of finished product, including inventory reconciliation, random inventory verifications, and other inventory-related audits.Perform pick, pack, and ship activities of finished product orders for domestic and export customers in an automated warehouse environment to meet sales targets and due dates.Operate all forklift equipment in a safe, efficient manner to complete daily receiving and shipping activities.Assist with direct material or miscellaneous shipments for domestic and export customers.Complete various material receipts, including inbound finished goods, semi-finished goods, and bulk materials, requiring completing the tally checklist, breaking loads down, verifying contents, and storage.Operate shipping systems to include processing cases through a meter and scale area.Complete all shipping documentation fully and completely, including verification and filing in an organized manner.Move damaged items to cage locations in the SAP system as well as physical segregation.Load and unload trucks according to AZ Standards of Care, following all SHE requirements.Understand various plant and business systems, including the SAP Warehouse Management System user interface, to perform/support daily tasks, make inventory system updates, and report back to other systems.Understand and comply with cGMP's while following safe operating procedures and practicing ergonomic awareness.Comply with SOX controls and standard operating procedures relative to order processing, materials, components, and finished good receipts.Provide direction to others when in various rotational warehouse assignments.Monitor shipping/receiving supplies and order items as appropriate for the warehouse, communicating needs in a timely manner.Follow site containment procedures.Minimum Requirements:High School DiplomaMinimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant experienceMust pass Fork truck Vision tests conducted by the Medical Department to allow for safe operation of a forklift vehicle; tests are performed every three yearsMust be certified to handle and ship products classified as dangerous goodsDemonstrates understanding and use of LEAN Principles to drive efficiencies and continuous improvementWillingly adapts to change and embraces new ideasDemonstrates good math and problem-solving skillsProficient in the use of PC programs such as Outlook and other PC-based training applicationsHighly motivated and able to work with minimal direct supervisionPromotes and demonstrates the concept of teamworkGood interpersonal, organizational, communication skills, and high attention to detailAble to work independently and take initiativeAble to multi-task and set priorities
