We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mass Processing Specialist to oversee and manage the configuration and execution of batch chains for SAP-ISU using the Control-M tool. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mass processing, exceptional leadership skills, and extensive experience with SAP-ISU and Control-M. This role requires a proactive individual who can ensure smooth and efficient batch operations while working closely with various stakeholders to meet business objectives.
Primary Roles & Responsibilities:
Lead Mass Processing Operators and closely collaborate with technical experts and internal super users. Administration, installation, and configuration of SAP internal and external job scheduling tools. Configuration and Optimization: Design and configure batch chains, optimize batch workflows, and ensure efficient resource utilization. Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor batch jobs, identify and resolve issues promptly, and ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs). Handle escalation for system-generated events/alerts. Comply with established Standard Operating Procedures in response to system alerts and scheduled tasks with consistent accuracy. Execute and monitor day-to-day enterprise scheduled and ad hoc application jobs, reports generation, and end-of-day processing jobs. Handle and resolve production problems and if necessary, escalate them to the relevant IT staff. Documentation: Develop as necessary and Maintain comprehensive documentation of batch processes, configurations, and procedures. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, implement best practices, and contribute to the overall enhancement of batch operations. Participate in business continuity/disaster recovery planning and testing. Work shift duties, able to adapt to a flexible work schedule and could work additional hours when required. Position Requirements: 5+ years of experience administering external Batch Scheduling tools for SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP ERP systems. Experience scheduling SAP ERP and/or S/4HANA jobs via SAP batch scheduler. Strong knowledge of scheduling systems and strategies. Well-versed with Scripts / Tools maintenance and Upgrades. Hands-on experience in Migration/Upgrade of Control-M environment. Good operating systems knowledge like Linux, Unix, and Windows Server. Experience with SAP ERP (ECC) and/or S/4HANA batch scheduler is mandatory. BMC Control-M experience as an Administrator is preferred. Fluent bilingual technical writing/speaking in English and Spanish is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams.
