Manager, Software QA Summary of Position The Manager, Software QA works collaboratively with technical and management staff to ensure the delivery of quality software and is responsible for the hands-on management of Software QA Engineers and their deliverables.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide hands-on leadership to Software QA Engineers and offshore teams and play an integral role in complete end to end verification of the company software systems and components. Plan, execute and manage complex end-to-end testing with multiple dependencies. Encourage skill and career growth development within the direct reports in parallel with ongoing mentorship and support. Work closely with product owners and developers to meet QA commitments and align delivery priorities with business objectives. Participate in continuous improvement of the software quality assurance process to maximize discovery of defects before software release. Coordinate and perform debugging and root cause analysis of product issues or defects. Review readiness and approve regular releases in accordance with established procedures and best practices. Required Qualifications Strong knowledge of Python and Groovy. Strong knowledge of CI/CD (Jenkins). Strong knowledge of version control and branching strategies (GitHub). Strong understanding and hands-on experience with test automation frameworks. Solid knowledge of automation for end-to-end and integration testing (Web, Mobile, and API). Preferred Qualifications Experience with BDD frameworks (Robot Framework preferred). Knowledge of cloud-based systems (AWS, Azure). Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
