Position SummaryThe position involves oversight of general accounting, property accounting, internal auditing, cost accounting, and budgetary controls. Additionally, it is responsible for preparing relevant information for management and/or external parties acting in compliance with local regulations, Corporate Policies, and US GAAP and IFRS.
Essential ResponsibilitiesAlert the CFO to any irregularities, non-compliance, lack of adherence and problems whether actual or potential relating to financial systems, financial operations, financing plans, accounting, audits, budgets and any other matter of a financial nature or which may have a financial implication.Manage business risk and implement processes that enable effective day-to-day operations.Provide financial and business ethics management and report regularly on agreed measures.Proactively alert the CFO to significant variations and factors affecting the business, such as legislative changes.Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants.Comply with local, state and federal government reporting requirements for all tax returns, and review local tax returns in coordination with local tax advisors.Responsible for Credit and Collections, including setting credit limits.Conduct financial and legal analysis of cash utilization and local tax minimization strategies.Actively participate in business decisions, strategic decisions, contingency and financial planning as a member of the IP Argentina leadership team.Provide value-added business analysis of IP Argentina companies to guide high-performance initiatives and strategies.Provide financial analysis, support, and guidance for the forecast, annual budget, and strategic plans.Prepare a monthly financial analysis with value-added commentary on risk management and opportunities.Provide coordinated support to ensure necessary controls, safeguarding of assets, and efficient execution of financial activities, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and balance sheet reviews.Position RequirementsExperience in multinational companies (important and relevant locally).Detail-oriented, analytical, and strong communication and customer service skills.Bachelor's degree in Accounting; MBA is preferred.Minimum of 5 years' financial experience, with a general financial and accounting background.Minimum of 2 years' supervisory experience.Strong understanding and experience in financial operations and decision-making, with the ability to work under pressure.Good understanding of IFRS and local regulations.Management skills and demonstrated ability to implement procedures and policies to support operational requirements.Verbal and oral English language skills are a must.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking on new tasks with a high level of difficulty.Expected to work with minimal initial guidance and take ownership of work product.Experience in multinational or large local companies, preferably ISO 14001 certified.
