Local Operations Manager Argentina

Our client is one of the largest wind turbine manufacturers in Argentina and the world. For their regional maintenance and operations team we are looking for a Local Operations Manager to manage the region for Argentina for the area of Bahía Blanca where most of the assets of the company are. The person will not only be a contact point for the Teams Leaders and O&M Supervisors in terms of operational and technical aspects and solutions, but also be the main point of contact for the clients of the company- hence experience in liaising with clients or some client exposure is a must.
Responsibilitie
Manage a team of Service Technicians and Coordinator to ensure completion of their allocated service activities within the specified time frames and to the required standardsEnsure availability of wind turbineGenerate and use KPI's to monitor team, individuals' and wind farm performance and take action as appropriate to share successes, address shortfalls and make improvementsCommunicate with customers and follow up on customer requestsCoordinate and control subcontractorsRecruitment and development of Service Technicians including identification of training needs and delivery of on site training and coaching on best practise to create and maintain a high performing teamImplement internal and external HSE regulationsPrepare calculations and quotations according to customer demands within the daily operational businessLocal spare parts stocks supervision and materials managementDirect coordination of site works in case of need of specific support and consultation with head quarter and external expertsRegular site visits and participation in customer meetingsWho we are looking for:
An experienced professional with experience in management of large technical teams ideally in the wind industryIdeally experience in wind or any other energy generation experience will be a plusExcellent communicator in both Spanish and ideally in English able to coordinate and manage large technical teams and complex operationsExperience with client liaisingTechnical background in electrical, mechanical or industrial engineeringOur client offers:
